CH-CH-CH-Changes

Congratulations Kevin!

In March, just after returning from our honeymoon, Kevin applied for an HVAC apprenticeship program through CITC. For those of you who aren’t familiar with HVAC here is a brief description:

“HVAC (pronounced either "H-V-A-C" or, occasionally, "H-vak") is an initialism or acronym that stands for "heating, ventilating, and air conditioning". HVAC is sometimes referred to as climate control and is particularly important in the design of medium to large industrial and office buildings such as skyscrapers and in marine environments such as aquariums, where humidity and temperature must all be closely regulated whilst maintaining safe and healthy conditions within.”

The CITC apprenticeship program provides the opportunity for an individual to go to school while working full time in the field to learn the trade that they are studying.

In late April Kevin conducted his interview with CITC and shortly after found out he had been accepted in to the program and placed on a “dispatch list” awaiting job assignment.

This last Monday Kevin received a call from Merit Mechanical! (http://www.meritmechanical.com/) asking him to come in for an interview. On Thursday Kevin met with them and after a very successful meeting was sent to pee in a cup! Yesterday (Monday 06/23) Kevin was offered the job and accepted!!!!!!

Day 1 of the three year program begins Monday July 7th. We are very excited for this opportunity and I am so very proud of him!!!!
