At ease

The last few nights (months really), I have spent a lot of time thinking to myself "I really need to get my life in order". To me, this means finding balance. I have decided to take on a new routine, of which I won't bore you with all the details. Part of this routine however ends my day with a moment of reflection, meditation, or prayer. For you my readers, this means many more bedtime posts. I hope you don't mind.

"May all sentient beings, boundless as the sky, have happiness and the causes of happiness. May they be liberated from suffering and the causes of suffering. May they never be separated from the happiness that is free from sorrow. May they rest in equanimity, free from attachment and aversion."

- The Four Immeasurables - Tibetan Budhism

Spring time please come

I decided that this morning was deserving of a nice refreshing spring time breakfast (despite the arrival of snow). I began my day with a lovely parfait made of fresh strawberries, plain yogurt, and nutty granola. Deliciously refreshing!

and now I head out in to the cold....

Final thought of the day

Being a mother is very enjoyable. The most enjoyable thing I can imagine. Being a mother to a sick child however is extremely exhausting. Luckily my little angel is finally starting to get healthy again. Yay for us!

May all of you be blessed with healthy children :)

We finally bring the internet home

Hello my blog reading friends, I am very happy to announce that we have given in. After a year an a half of not having internet access at home Kevin and I have decided we just can't stand it anymore. So here we are!

In the past we had comcast cable internet but this time we decided to try something new. We signed up with ClearWire. can I tell you that they aren't kidding? It truly is the easiest way to get internet. I was worried that the speed would be slightly slower than comcast but there is absolutely zero lag with this connection. What's even better is that it's cheaper (in the long run that is). None of this $19.99 crap for 6 months and then $60.00 after that. It's simply $29.99 a month for life! I know, I sound like an advertisement, but from what I can tell so far it really is a great deal.

So, now that I am connected expect many more updates. I can't wait to start blogging away! First though, I need to check my MySpace and Facebook before Maddie wakes up (she's in bed with the flu but she is doing much better now and I expect her back at school tomorrow). I love you all and am so glad to be back!!!!!

I will leave you with a cute picture...
