Weekly Update

Life is busy and always changing.

Kevin recently began his career as an HVAC technician. For the past few weeks he has been job shadowing other technician's. Last week he received his very own work van (yay for note having to pay for gas!) and today he went out on his own for the first time doing standard maintenance calls. The job seems to be going well. The days are long and his skin gets darker by the day (working on roof tops in 80 degree weather will do that to you). Other than a few wasp stings and minor chemical burns he seems to be enjoying it and finding it intersting. I am learning all about "coils" and "unit maintenance" from our afternoon and evening conversations.

Maddie is doing well. Her vocabulary and comprehension seem to be taking off now that she is going to school full time. Yesterday she came hope with some scratches on her face which I later found out were caused by "Lucy McCain" hitting her because she "stepped in her ship" (large boat loacated in the sand area on the preschool play yard). Luckily Maddie didn't hit back.

We are keeping busy with the family time that we get now that we all are on the same schedule. This weekend we may go hiking, but that is yet to be determined. Our laundry is backing up and we need to get working on Maddie's birthday party plans so we shall see.

I hope everyone is well!
