It's been so long!

Friends,

First off I want to pologize for the lack of blog postings in the last months. Unfortunately they reconfigured the internet settings at work and I can no longer access this website to post my blogs. TOTALLY LAME! I understand that I robably shouldn't be blogging at work but with the economy as ridiculously slow as it is right now, all I do at work is sit around and gossip. Even the sales reps I work for are just calling in half the time to see how my day is going and how Maddie is doing. Nothing is going on anywhere in the country that I work (which, if you don't already know what I do, is almost the ENTIRE country). So - the fact that I can't blog at work is really truly dissapointing (especially since we do not have the internet at home).

That said, here are the most recent updates...

1) Maddie got stung by a wasp. Luckily she is not allergic.

2) My sister Meghan killed her knee at Rugby practice and is now on crutches. She has a appointment this week at the doctor to determine if surgery is needed.

3) Maddie had a fever this week of 102.5. It's not pneumonia but she does have bronchitis.

4) Halloween - Maddie was Ariel

That's all I can think of right now.

Oh! And we had a truly good time at Nathan's birthday party last weekend. Mmmm "the bucket".

I hope all of you are well.

There is something about bubbles

Bumbershoot and such...

Kevin was chosen to be an assistant in a circus act that was performing...

Maddie worked on her first ClayMation movie...

Maddie rode a snail and got a foot massage...

We watched a VERY cool dance group perform in the fountain...

And Maddie danced her socks of to The Offspring...

but then she got sleepy...
I don't have any pictures from Death Cab but I can tell you they were AMAZING!!!!!! (Maddie unforutnately missed seeing Ben Gibbard)

It's official, she's 4

Saturday was Madeline's 4th birthday. I am still having trouble comprehending how quickly she's growing up. The morning began with her saying "Mama, I am SO OLD!!!". The idea that she starts kindergarten in one year is troubling to me. When I think back to August 30, 2004 I can still remember the ditinct feelings of holding her for the first time and looking in to those beautiful eyes. It sounds corny but they do grow up so fast...

Pictures from the party:

Maddie's Dora cake (a lot more work than last years Elmo by the way)

Kieran telling Maddie "See Maddie, I'll be as big as you when I am 4!"

Cake time!

These three look related though I am not sure why...

A weekend away

This past weekend we were lucky enough to enjoy a weekend in the town of Greenwater on Mt. Rainier. It was absolutely gorgeous and we had a truly relaxing time. We hadn't been camping in a long time so it made for a nice end to the summer.

We found some horses... Kevin and Maddie discovered the joy of throwing things in a fast moving river...

Maddie played with mud...

We roasted marshmallows...

And we sat around doing absolutely nothing...

It made for a very relaxing weekend.

Girls will be girls...

Maddie's last dance class

Saturday ended the summer session of Creative Dance at ADI and we have decided to take a break from it for fall. Our schedules have been so busy that we just aren't finding time in the week to hang out at home. We captured some lovely photos during the last class though...

PS... I don't know why everything is underlined but I can't turn it off. Sorry!
